"Please be assured that the Playgroup and Pre-school are running as normal within their current home of Oaklands School, and will continue to do so until the end of the summer term. We will then move during the holidays, ready to re-open in our new location in Septemeber. Welcome to Acorn Playgroup and Pre-school's website.

Acorn is situated within the grounds of Oaklands Primary School, in the Oaklands area of Welwyn.

Acorn Playgroup and Pre-school is Ofsted registered and offers flexible, high quality educational care for children from the age of 2 years up to rising 5. At Acorn we aim to create a welcoming and secure environment where we recognise that every each child is unique and we strive to extend your child's development and learning through both child-initiated play and adult-led activities, creating an enabling environment to help each child reach their full potential.

We offer:

• Sessions are from Monday to Friday during school term times 9.00am to 3.30pm
• Places for children from  ages 2 to 5 years old
• Government funded places for 3 to rising 5 year olds
• Government funded places for 2 year olds (certain criteria applies)
• Flexible Play group and Pre-school sessions
• Lunch club from the age of 3
• "Good" Ofsted report
• Hertfordshire Accreditation
