Acorn Management
Committee
We are a parent management committee, whose Trustees
are elected at an Annual General Meeting by the parents of the
children who attend Acorn Playgroup & Pre-school. The Trustees
work closely with the Manager and Deputy regarding the day to day
running of Acorn. These elections take place in June or July of each
year.
The committee is responsible for:
- Managing Acorn's Finances
- Employing and managing the staff
- Making sure that Acorn has, and works to, polices
which help it to provide a high quality service
- Making sure that Acorn works in partnership with
the children's parents
- Fund raising
The Annual General Meeting is open to the parents of
all the children who attend Acorn. It is their forum for looking
back over the previous years activities and plan for the future fund
raising events.
